Brigham City Museum Announces Photography Competition Awards

We’re rolling into September with some “Changes”.

The Brigham City Museum of Art & History will be closed from Monday, September 7 to Friday, September 11 to change out its temporary exhibitions gallery.

The museum will re-open on Saturday, September 12 with the 2020 Photography Competition: Changes.

Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the final days of the museum’s current exhibition, “Evolving Perceptions” art quilts made by members of the Studio Art Quilt Associates Colorado/Utah/Wyoming region. “Evolving Perceptions” is an exciting, cutting edge exhibit that will stretch the imagination of the viewer and display a mix of new and traditional art quilt techniques. A 3D virtual tour of the exhibition along with artist roundtable discussions and interviews are available on the Museum’s website:brighamcitymuseum.org/EvolvingPerceptions.

Photographers of all skill levels are invited to share their personal expressions of change for the 2020 Photography Competition. Entries are due by 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 5. The exhibit opens on September 12 and closes on November 14. All entries for this juried competition must have been taken on or after 4/5/2019 and be ready to hang when submitted. Entries must include a high resolution digital photo for marketing purposes. Entry forms and further information can be found on the museum’s website:brighamcitymuseum.org/photography2020
