Artist Talk with Betsy Cannon

August 20, 2020 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

Join us for a peak inside Betsy Cannon’s artistic process.

Betsy Cannon’s “Baba Yaga’s House: On the Prowl”, featured in “Evolving Perceptions” Art Quilts by members of the Studio Art Quilt Associates Colorado/Utah/Wyoming Region, is a crowd favorite and we get a lot of questions about Baba Yaga. This artist talk delves into Betsy’s approach to storytelling through art quilts and answers questions about her techniques.

About Betsy Cannon:

Betsy Cannon was born in New Mexico and raised in West Texas, which she thinks has influenced her love of the outlandish. She’s been making art quilts for 52 years while raising two wonderful, creative children.

Betsy and her husband Laurie live in central Colorado and part of the year in rural New Hampshire. Her quilts have been exhibited internationally and are in many private and public collections.
