March 29 @ 11:00 am 1:00 pm

Yukio Shimomura will be sharing his family’s experience and how Executive Order 9066 affected his family. In his presentation, Shimomura will explain what he, his parents, and his older brothers experienced, as well as the lifestyle and dynamics in the Topaz camp and the significant ironies. He will also share how they left the camp, and where they settled afterward.

With 110,000 people incarcerated, and 110,000 stories to tell, this is one family’s snapshot.

Then join us for special access to the exhibit before the museum opens after Mr. Shimomura’s presentation.
