Contemporary Illustration

September 6, 2019 November 16, 2019

The Brigham City Museum of Art & History invites you to marvel at its latest exhibition, “Contemporary Illustration”, which will run from September 7 through November 16. From whimsy to gritty, this exhibition is nothing like any other previously seen at the museum.

The exhibition features Eisner winning artists Jill Thompson and Gene Ha, industry giant Sal Velluto, visionaries Jon Wasson, Chuck Pyle, and Patric Reynolds, and local favorites Ned Young and Mark Meyers.

Also featured in the exhibition is a traveling exhibit from the Cache Celebration of Women’s Suffrage 2020 Committee, in partnership with Better Days 2020. With illustrations by Brooke Smart and curation by Gail Griswold, this exhibit celebrates the 150th anniversary of Utah women being the first to vote in the nation.

The museum is located at 24 North 300 West. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free. Guided tours are available on Wednesdays at 11:00 AM and 3:30 PM, or can be arranged for your group anytime we are open. Contact Mary Urban Clarke at mary@boxeldermuseum.org or 435-226-1439 for more information and to schedule your tour.
